I am a writer. It’s pretty much all I am good for. That, and making a decent curry.

I am also old, single, childless and cranky. None of those things is likely to change any time soon.

I have been blogging since 2004 (which is a long time in people years). I called my blog “Red Stapler” in homage to the movie “Office Space” because I started blogging about the same time that I got my first cubicle job.

In late 2018, I ran away from home in my RV, Gladis. I have been on the road ever since. I work an 8-5 telecommuter job. So I guess I still have a cubicle – now it is 23 feet long and has 6 wheels and a Ford 350 (gas not diesel).

Much of what I write is mostly true, but a good story will beat the literal truth every time. This is something I learned from my dad.

I love blogging and I love nice bloggers and I try my hardest to be supportive, welcoming and kind. I consider this my mission in life. But if you mess with my friends, you will hear about it. That falls under the “cranky” category.

I also love good food, good wine, travel, dogs, photography and the ocean. I speak enough Spanish to get myself into trouble, but not enough to get myself out. I am a Toastmaster, a dancer and a raving liberal.

You Can Hire Me. To Write Right Here on This Here Blog
I will work for money. I will not work for links, nor for the glory of being associated with your website, nor for a chance to win a gift card. If you ask me to do any of those things, I reserve the right to make fun of you in public.

I will do product reviews if I like the product. I especially enjoy writing about food (vegetarian), wine, travel, social media…ask me. I’m hard to offend, except about the not-paying thing.

I disclose every business relationship under FTC guidelines and under the Blog With Integrity principles.

I see on your bucket list that you want to go to a nude beach and then a catholic church. How about we combine those and go to a catholic church nude together?? I am in the Boston area and do go to nude beaches. So if you are ever up this way let me know ajnd we can go to one.

I am NOT sitting on those nasty pews naked. Who knows who has been there? And having the statues stare at me would creep me out, too.

You are a very interesting woman with a unique, down-to-earth caring personality. There is no one else I know who is willing to reveal to those who take the time to read your blogs who you really are. You have a style of writing, of speaking, of couture, of interaction which is refreshingly appealing to your readers. I used to think that you would likely someday write the Great American novel – the GAN.

Of course, I think it has already been written hundreds of times already. Now I feel that you are and have been writing blog after blog, chapter after chapter, one of the most fascinating novels – a GAN – freely for all the world to enjoy And it continues each time you push the little keys on the QWERTY board.

You tell us about somethuing you’ve experienced – some almost mundane thing you did – which for many people would be normal but you do it in such a way that the reader wants to go on and ‘hear’ how you looked at it, how you felt about it, how joyful it all is to you!

There it is, Suebob. Would that I could express myself as beautifully and poetically as you actually do. Until I saw your Red Stapler blog, I was quite content with my old gray stapler. You’ve changed my life – for the better. Please continue to be the SUEBOB that everyone reads voraciously. Thank you and good night!

Just read your pheasant story and cried laughing. I loved it! Sorry for your pain and all, but it was an amazingly funny story.

Well, howdy to you, Sue Bob!

It’s J.R. from the old ‘Don’t Floss with Tinsel’ blog. For whatever reason, I looked up the old blog tonight, which led me right to you.

I’m glad to see you still plugging away! I don’t do much blogging these days but have enjoyed a relatively long stint as a film critic, of all things. haha

Anyway, it seems like we both ended up in or near Seattle, so I just wanted to say, “Howdy!”

Wow! This IS a trip back through the past. I’m not blogging much, but I always have the best intention to get back to it – along with working out, eating a reasonable amount, and quitting swearing.

It is good to hear from you! I would say “We should get together” but I would be deluding myself about driving up to Seattle. Glad to see you alive and well.
