Greetings from Where I Live

November 27, 2011

We had a remarkably low tide, combined with a winter sunset. It was about 75 degrees and everyone was out with kids, dogs, surfboards.

oh to live near the ocean… (or near water at this point!)

I know. I feel lucky every single day. There is even one stoplight down by the beach where I HOPE for it to be red so I can sit there for a minute and enjoy.

Occasionally, when I’m visiting my step-gma, we’ll venture to the Harbor in Ventura to stroll along near the shops and sit near the ocean. I’ve got Santa Cruz and Capitola beaches near-ish me as well as spending a good deal of time visiting my in-laws who live just outside of Monterey. Ahh…if only I could live there, but hubby was born and raised by the ocean and has vowed never to live in that weather again!

Gorgeous photos. I, too, am lucky to live near the ocean, and I don’t think I spend nearly enough time at the beach.

I wish I could go every day. Sometimes I drive by just to get a look.
