Food Reviews, Now With Abbie

August 16, 2014

Since I seem to be disinclined to write a blog post, here is a video of me and Abbie eating. Just what the world has been waiting for. Obviously not sponsored.

Earlier today I was thinking that I hadn’t seen Abbie in a while and I meant to tweet you about that but then I forgot and now you’ve rectified the situation SO NEVER MIND. Man, she’s a cute dog.

I saw the cappuccino chips in the store last week and wasn’t even a little tempted. (We’ve had the chicken and waffle chips here for a long time and I’m not interested in those either, although if I ever get back to Oakland I’m making a beeline for Roscoe’s.) There are only a narrow range of potato chip flavors that I find acceptable, and, to be honest, I still have some suspicions about sour cream and onion. I’ll eat them, but begrudgingly.

Abby totally steals the show! She seems like she has a very human~~like personality. Love that!

She is smarter than me, that I know.

I love how Abby is all “hurry up and give me one of those chips!”. I am interested in the ginger wasabi chips. It’s the only new flavor that has peaked my interest. Not enough to run out and buy a bag, but I’d eat them at a party.

She does not really take no for an answer.

I agree. I have been thinking of other foods she might like to try, but there is so much veg food that she objects to.

I tried the cappuccino chips and thought they were just so dry; they weren’t flavorless but you nailed it with the missing greasy potato chip goodness. I also tried the Bacon Mac & Cheese flavor (as a vegetarian it didn’t feel like cheating because I so seriously doubt any actual bacon-like substance is used in making them) and they are so stupid good it’s actually a relief that they are hard to find. Such greasy, much goodness.

Also, holy bananas, what a sweet girl and that animated face isn’t hard to love, she is beautiful! And you, Miss Sue, look amazing, too. I know you’ve blogged about some of the changes you’ve made in the last year or so but I feel like I haven’t told you: Whatever you’re doing, keep it up. You appear to be aging in reverse so GOOD JOB!

Bacon mac n cheese…now you are talking my language. I thought the cheesy garlic bread sounded pretty good, too. I don’t eat a lot of potato chips usually, but I guess Lay’s knows how to get us…keep throwing new flavors at us. My BIL gave the Mango Salsa the huge thumbs down.

Thanks for saying I look good. My health has been challenging lately (arthritis in a big way) so it is nice to get a compliment. Abbie is indeed the best little face-maker. She has so many expressions. She’s smart and always paying attention, and it shows in her concerned little face.
