I’m not sure I understand the Newseum

November 14, 2015

There’s a museum in Washington DC called the Newseum. Cute. The news museum. But I don’t….get it.

The news is the news. It doesn’t need a museum.

Journalism is called the first draft of history. Shouldn’t it stay that way?

They have a news helicopter there and a chunk of the Berlin Wall and some movies made up of news clips with inspirational voice overs.

Yeah…not sure.

The best part is the first amendment to the US Constitution carved into the front five stories high.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Don’t forget to use it.
